- It's in that moment that reality ensues and reminds him that just because his methods have worked in the past they don't necessarily have to work now. Rather than accepting that, he attributes his lack of power to his aging process and 'skills decaying'.
- The inability to feel secure triggers a downwards mental spiral where the emotions he had kept quiet for more than a decade resurface, and he reverts to the version of himself before Project Freelancer.
