AUs:
- Price survives on Chorus and retires, spending time observing Others
- Price survives on Chorus but is arrested and put to do community service
- Modern day/Pre-pfl au, where Price is just a 'regular' evil doctor.
Prompts:
- While loyal to the Director, he's very much fascinated by the Chairman as he believes that there has to be some interesting psychological scar under the boring quest for money.
- Even the smallest amount of distress he can cause in Others brings him great sexual fulfillment.
- He sees the Director as a buffet of mental illnesses, and he's hungry! Despite being content with their current work relationship he'd love to find out more about his boss to have a more entertaining stay, and is very nosy…
During the Project, after hours
Date: 2020-07-21 08:53 pm (UTC)Next thing he knew he was dropping his datapad, and his head was bent forward as though he'd been asleep. He cursed under his breath, leaned forward to grab the datapad, and sat up stiffly. Hopefully no one had caught that little piece of evidence that he was overworked. There were some important missions coming up and he couldn't afford to take any time off.
And by 'no one' he mainly means Aiden. Aiden is the only one with the ability to order him around at all.
Re: During the Project, after hours
Date: 2020-07-22 02:44 am (UTC)"It would be wise to get some rest," he approached the Director to sit in front of him, gleefully aware that framing a sentence that only implies the other's wisdom if they agree is an evergreen trick "but I can bring you a cup of coffee if you please."
Which one was he going to choose?

Date: 2020-07-22 06:18 pm (UTC)"Counselor, please," he mutters, sounding less enthused about the words than he typically was on the bridge when he said it. He knew he needed to get some sleep. And the Counselor knew he wasn't likely to go get some, not at this early point in the evening.
"You know how I prefer to drink it," he finally adds.

Date: 2020-07-22 06:55 pm (UTC)"How can I be of assistance?"

Date: 2020-07-22 07:04 pm (UTC)The launching of the motorcycle pod was clearly her idea—he'd given her the opportunity, after all—but was barreling down the highway her plan? Was ramping the motorcycle high enough to fire at the Hornets his?

Date: 2020-07-22 07:20 pm (UTC)He pauses, contemplating the idea of reassuring him by sugarcoating, but after all he knows the Director appreciates a problem solving approach. Is he really committed to go on with fragmenting the Alpha? Price doesn't know, but it's an opportunity that he's never had before. If this was too painful, then the Director would stop in time. It's only right to keep focusing on the experiments.

Date: 2020-07-22 08:03 pm (UTC)"I'm afraid I'm not understanding, sir. We have already established that AIs are going to be assigned to the most skilled agents - rightfully so, as they're not a type of resource we can afford to waste." he purses his lips, thinking "...Unless you want to create enough AIs for all the agents, but I don't believe it's a good idea: first of all, we cannot be sure that the Alpha is capable of enduring such damage and producing fragments without them getting weaker and more inconsistent with every splintering; second of all, if every agent gets equal treatment they will stop competing, and at that point they will have more time to start questioning our methods, which we absolutely cannot afford anymore."

Date: 2020-07-22 08:23 pm (UTC)"This is a different situation, Counselor. The AI will remain hers, even when it is not in her possession. The idea is to gauge her reactions without it, not the agent's reactions with it."

Date: 2020-07-22 08:40 pm (UTC)He knows the Director is not going to care about the other agents' well-being when presented with anything regarding Texas. What is so special about her that makes him think it's fine to be reckless and come up with absolutely garbage plans? This is supposed to be about progress.
"Not to mention that given his ability, Omega could very easily jump back into Texas." he adds, feeling a strange sensation in his stomach urging him to follow it with a sly insinuation "To create Agent Texas first and then a rage fragment that comes back to her, the Alpha must be having quite intense mixed feelings for her…"

Date: 2020-07-22 08:49 pm (UTC)"How do you know what would happen?" he says, practically snarling. "You act as though his behavior is set in stone. If that's the case, you would be able to tease out which of Agent Texas's decisions were under his influence."

Date: 2020-07-22 09:05 pm (UTC)He looks at the data on the pad once again.
"I already went in and removed the memories of her creation." Anything that would alert her to who he is and what he's doing is gone.

From:Prison AU
Date: 2021-09-06 09:04 pm (UTC)"Hmph. It's been quite a week," he announces before shoving a spoonful of the potatoes into his mouth. So disgusting, and yet so delicious.
"I don't suppose you have anything interesting to tell me."
Re: Prison AU
Date: 2021-09-07 08:36 am (UTC)Not to mention that seeing someone so huge like Alan always gives him a certain feeling, and since he himself is undeniably petit and weak, he wants protection. Giving him information in exchange has been a good deal, so far.
"Indeed." he agrees, then thinks for a moment if there is anything to share.
"I have heard some rumours, but I have yet to verify them."
With the limited movement that the inmates are granted, it's hard to gather information.
"Although I wouldn't say they are of particular interest."
no subject
Date: 2021-09-09 03:50 am (UTC)Aiden, at least, has proven to interest him enough to warrant some association.
"Oh?" He swallows his potatoes and scoops up another spoonful, nearly shoving it in his mouth before pausing.
"In a prison, anything could be of interest with what little entertainment we get otherwise." He scoffs before devouring that spoonful, savoring its salty blandness.

Date: 2021-09-09 12:36 pm (UTC)A little smirk flashes on his face, then disappears in favour of a calm and collected expression. He takes two thin slices of meat in his fork and eats them without chewing them, sucking to enjoy how quickly they melt in his mouth.
"Something worth punishing from the rest of us, maybe."
no subject
Date: 2021-09-15 03:49 am (UTC)"Oh? How interesting." He smiles, pleased to hear that someone is receiving a far harsher punishment than AM himself recently received - that is, the nutriloaf.
"It has to be pretty bad for him to be sent there. Unless..." He taps his fork on the plate. "They're protecting him from someone else..."
no subject
Date: 2021-09-15 07:57 am (UTC)He cuts another tiny slice.
"Also, I submitted my request to work in the library. I believe it is an appropriate job for me, and I would get to observe others."
no subject
Date: 2021-09-22 03:34 am (UTC)Another bite of bland, overcooked broccoli. He chews it at the side of his mouth, answering with a slight muffle. "That's quite the coveted job. You might have to kiss a few asses to get it."
Everyone likes the library job; it's quiet, surrounded by books, and of course has opportune people watching. It's far better than the dull monotony that otherwise is prison life. "But I certainly hope you do. It suits you."
no subject
Date: 2021-09-23 08:41 am (UTC)He takes a sip of water.
"Speaking of, they might use them to pay for my silence. Is there a specific substance you would like me to request, in that case?"
no subject
Date: 2021-09-23 07:26 pm (UTC)"Hmm..."
AM does lean back in his chair and consider Aiden's question. What does he want? "I suppose money never hurts, of course."
But there is a slight wistfulness with the way he says it. Money is power, and AM once had a lot of money. He still technically does, he supposes, but that's all used on lawyer fees and appeals. Should he ever escape this rat cage, then he may have access to his fortune again. But it has absolutely dwindled considerably.

Date: 2021-09-23 07:46 pm (UTC)He stays silent for a bit.
"Any other way I can assist you today?"
no subject
Date: 2021-10-07 03:58 am (UTC)"Well, it has been a while, I suppose..." He chews the last of his meat, internally mulling over the affairs of the prison.
"Have you been able to get in contact with Brickman at all? He owes me." There is a glint in his eye, of course, with that last part, accentuated by the gradual curl of his smile.
